Lake Tahoe Hikes

(my latest project, started April 2015)

Hiking icon indicates day hike, tent icon indicates overnighters or day hikes best done as overnighters, and blue snowshoeing icon is for winter hikes.

New feature added in 2017: If you’re wondering if you’re allowed to fly your drone in any of these areas around Lake Tahoe, these guides have an answer.

Disclaimer: These Lake Tahoe hiking guides are not intended to be technical in nature.  I am making them to assist you in finding the best Lake Tahoe hikes that fit your ability level, geographic location, and time constraints, and I hope the pictures speak for the trails.  For more technical details about each hike, refer to the “Further Reading” link provided with each hike.

How can I make this guide better?  Do you have any ideas for content, organization, and so on, while we’re in the early stages?  Please use the contact form below.  Thanks!
