The Countdown
182 Days
On The Horizon

I'm really close to rolling out a Panorama collection, which will contain panoramas already featured on my site plus canvas gallery wraps.

New sails have been ordered!  I'll post some pictures once I get them!

 ABOUT
IN PICTURES
IN WRITING
From the Skipper

Welcome to my first newsletter…I really wasn’t expecting the number of subscribers in such a short amount of time, so I think it’s time to move past the boring auto-generated emails and start something a little more fresh!

These emails will only come out every other week, or when I feel I need to share something that I deem significant.  Since we all have limited attention spans (myself guilty of it more than the rest of you), these will be short and take no more than 60 seconds to review unless you click on the links.  I’ll recap whatever has happened in my world of photography and sailing, and include any new photography prints & specials.  When the day comes that I finally cast-off (186 days), I’ll provide a link of my current latitude & longitude to view on Google Maps.

As always, you can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of this email.  Or even better, use the Forward link to share with your friends!

Coastal Carolina Collection

In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve streamlined the photo browsing & ordering process.  And, since prints of Scotland and Italy don’t sell too well in the small towns of eastern North Carolina, I’ve added a Coastal Carolina collection.  I will be continually adding more prints to this collection as I explore the area.
Man-Sewing

Photo of the Week; week of 1/23/2012
1/29/2012
I had good intentions, I really did.  I’m talking about my self-imposed weekly photography assignments.  It sounded like a great idea, one that I’ll hang on to.  But the reality of my current situation is that I don’t have the time to stalk these assignments every week and come out with something that I’m proud of.  For example, last week’s assignment was to create something with an exposure longer than one second.  My availability did not lend to finding compositions that would require exposures that long.  I’ll definitely be keeping up with the photo of the week, but after the above excuses, I’ll just be looking for targets of opportunity.  Like what Monday’s fog presented.  Continue reading
